"Big brother, why is Yan Liang here?"
Yan Liang really didn't know how to describe how she felt. She thought it was hilarious. Past love, rival-in-love, former best friend......so many monikers assembled together. Moreover there was still a hostile attitude directed toward her. It was like she was an deserter who ran instead of fought.
Right now she only wanted to walk away. Not for one moment did she think about confronting the two standing at the door.
"She's an employee of EC. Is it weird for her to be in my office?" Only Liang Xi Cheng was on the outside; he didn't have a clue. That's why he was so calm. While talking, he walked around the executive desk and sat down in the chair. His slender hands tapped the file in front of him. His sharp gaze fell upon the uncomfortable Ning Zhi Yuan. "Jing Shan, why are you here?"

The office momentary was strangely quiet. Yan Liang stood there. The hairs on the back of her head prickled. It felt like her feet were nailed to the floor. The atmosphere got very heavy. She didn't know whether or not if it was her fault. She kept feeling like people were looking at her. If looks could stab, who knew how many holes she would have.
"Big brother, Yan Liang and I are really good friends. You know that right?" In the end Liang Jing Shan spoke first.
Liang Xi Cheng didn't bat an eye, only grunted in response. His voice wasn't happy or angry. He only lightly said, "When you guys were in school, I remember meeting Secretary Bai. When I came to take EC, it just happened she's an old employee. I want to promote her to be my personal secretary."
Liang Jing Shan's eyes dimmed. Liang Xi Cheng's response was clearly very shocking. "You want Yan Liang to be your personal secretary?"

ReplyDeleteIt was quite astute of the brother. I have warm feelings for his character haha he is not the usual domineering CEO trope, but he still has the aura of one.
It was a very awkward situation for our FL. Seeing her ex and her ex best friend first hand after the betrayall. However, why do i get the feeling that the ex was cheating on our FL because he has some kind of ambition that needs the power of someone, i.e.,the Liang family? Hmmmm
