The early morning sun was like a lover's hand, tenderly caressing a person's face.
A big bed, white bedding rolled into a bundle, a dainty body curled up under the bedding, motionless.
The cellphone on the nightstand started to vibrate and then started to ring.
The person on the bed finally had a reaction and merely reached out a slender hand to whack the nightstand. The cellphone fell. Luckily the carpet was thick, so the cellphone didn't break. Only the cellphone continued to ring.
Yan Liang finally couldn't take it anymore and groaned. She struggled to stick her head out of the blankets. Her long hair had long ago became a tangled mess. Her eyes were half-closed. It was clear she wasn't fully awake. The cellphone continued to persistently ring. It seemed like the person on the other end wouldn't give up until the goal was reached.
After a long time, Yan Liang finally picked up the cellphone from the floor. Her hungover head felt like it would explode. Her body felt like it had been run over by a car. Everything didn't feel right. Right now she didn't even had the energy to look at the caller ID. Her weak and powerless hand took a long time before hitting the answer key.
